McLEAN, VA – Gannett today announced two management changes related to the acquisition of newspapers in Tennessee:
Judi Terzotis, general manager of Gannett’s Middle Tennessee Community Newspaper Group, will be president and publisher of The Daily News Journal.
Michael Giangreco, general manager of The Tennessean’s Williamson A.M. section, will have the added responsibility of general manager of The Review Appeal.
Gannett acquired the two daily newspapers, two weekly newspapers and a monthly publication in the Murfreesboro area from Morris Multimedia Inc.
“Judi’s experience over the past five years as general manager of our Middle Tennessee Community Newspaper Group leaves her uniquely qualified to lead The News Journal,” said Gary Watson, president of Gannett’s Newspaper Division. “She is very well suited to guide this new acquisition into Gannett.”
Terzotis joined Gannett in 1995 when the Middle Tennessee properties were acquired from Multimedia, Inc. She was named general manager in 1998.
“Mike Giangreco has extensive newspaper experience, bringing news, marketing, advertising, circulation and production experience to the publications,” said Leslie Giallombardo, vice president/Gannett South Newspaper Group and Tennessean Publisher.
Prior to joining The Tennessean, Giangreco served as publisher of two community newspapers, was responsible for development and launch of several niche publications in real estate, business, shoppers, telephone books, and newspaper management consulting.
