Gannett Acquires Printed Media Companies of Minneapolis

ARLINGTON, Va. — Gannett Co., Inc. announced today that its commercial printing division, Gannett Offset, has acquired Printed Media Companies of Minneapolis, Minn.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Printed Media is a full-service heat set printer with seven web presses and state-of-the-art pre- and post-press production capabilities. Printed Media employs 270 people.
Gary Stout, president of Gannett Offset, said, “The acquisition of PMC is a perfect fit with our current operations, complementing our cold web and direct marketing services group. We are excited about the heat set expertise that PMC’s current management and employees bring to Gannett Offset.”
The addition of PMC brings the total number of printing plants in Gannett Offset to nine. The division now includes seven cold web and two heat set printing plants, a direct marketing services group which includes Gannett Telemarketing, Gannett Direct Marketing and Telematch, a computer and data base marketing company.
Gannett is a nationwide news and information company that publishes 90 daily newspapers, including USA TODAY, and USA WEEKEND, a newspaper magazine. Gannett also operates 16 television stations, five radio stations, cable television systems in five states and alarm security services.
